The truck showed a p0090 fuel pressure reg code. I tried replacing the mid harness and replacing the fuel pressure regulator. Truck starts up and sounds like its knocking then alms down a bit and sounds like a lb7 but fuel rail pressure stays around 20-23k there is no demand for it as the truck is idling. If you're getting a p0090 code, that's for the control circuit for the fuel pressure regulator. Check the plug for the regulator to be sure it doesn't have a pin that's pushed out or something, and that its plugged in all the way.

What I would do is check the wiring from the coolant sensor all the way back to the main harness. Use a multimeter and verify you have continuity from the connector at the sensor all the way back to the main bail connector that sits above the hardline coolant hose (the one that connects to your thermostat housing).New Build with P0089 and P0090. Oh, my!! You got problems with the Fuel Pressure Regulator Control Circuit (P0090), the injector harnesses/connectors for #2, #3, #5, and #8, and Turbocharger Vane Control Position Sensor (P2563)!! Or maybe you've got a wiring problem. Check where the harness goes over the FICM/alternator bracket at the front right side of the motor.
