2024 Brezza not dispensing water

I just got a baby brezza formula maker and I'm a little concerned about it's safety. I've been cleaning it as instructed but the area under the formula holder, above the funnel gets cakey even though I just wipe it with a dry paper towel and the funnel is dry when I replace it.
