This is a dumb question but I’m just curious. It’s possibly produced in Russia for civilians still, I would guess that Molot has one of the most recently produced models. To my knowledge SKSs we’re never made for the civilian market, maybe modified for them but they are and have always been milsurp rifles.

I just picked up a nice chinese SKS today at a live auction, $320 with a new bushnell 3x-9x. 32 scope on a b-west scope mount that allows 3/8" up/down travel on the front of the scope with slight finger pressure.
